About The Position

Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDC) to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy talking with people, staying organized, and converting helpful conversations into scheduled appointments. While sales experience is not required, a driven attitude is essential. The company will provide training on vehicles, systems, and processes. Call center experience and fluency in Spanish or Chinese are considered significant advantages. The dealership is part of the Scranton family of dealerships, with a legacy in Connecticut automotive since 1952, now under third-generation leadership. The BDC representative will be a primary point of contact for customers interested in vehicles, ensuring they feel welcome from their initial contact via phone, text, or email. Requirements

  • Friendly, confident communication by phone, text, and email

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn from coaching

Nice To Haves

  • Call center or high-volume phone experience
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Chinese, including Mandarin or Cantonese
  • Appointment setting, customer service, hospitality, retail, reception, or inside sales experience
  • Automotive dealership or CRM experience

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone, text, and email
  • Answer initial questions and help customers understand their next steps
  • Schedule and confirm showroom appointments
  • Follow up with customers who have expressed interest in a vehicle
  • Reconnect with customers who are still considering their options
  • Contact customers approaching the end of a vehicle lease
  • Keep customer records and follow-up notes accurate in our CRM
  • Share appointment details with the sales team
  • Work toward appointment and customer service goals while making every interaction feel personal
