Business Development Representative (BDC) – Automotive Sales
About The Position
Bowser Automotive is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDC) to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, wants to develop sales skills, and is interested in building a career in the automotive industry. No automotive experience is required. We provide training to help you learn our products, processes, and customer follow-up strategies. As a BDC Representative, you'll have a direct impact on dealership sales by connecting customers with our Sales Team and helping turn vehicle inquiries into dealership appointments. You'll have the opportunity to earn commission in addition to your base pay, while developing valuable sales and customer relationship skills that can lead to future career opportunities within the dealership.
Requirements
- Outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers.
- Confident communicating by phone, text, and email.
- Motivated by goals and earning potential.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and following up consistently.
- A good listener who can identify customer needs.
- Organized and able to manage multiple customer interactions.
- Comfortable using a computer and learning CRM software.
- Professional, dependable, and positive.
- Willing to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, call centers, hospitality, retail, or automotive is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customers who are interested in purchasing a vehicle.
- Communicate with customers by phone, text, email, and online messaging.
- Make outbound calls to follow up with potential customers and previous inquiries.
- Build relationships with customers and identify their vehicle needs.
- Answer basic questions about vehicles, inventory, and the purchasing process.
- Schedule appointments with members of our Sales Team.
- Follow up with customers who have not yet scheduled an appointment.
- Maintain accurate customer information and follow-up activities in our CRM system.
- Work toward appointment-setting and department performance goals.
- Provide a professional and positive customer experience throughout the process.
- Follow all Bowser Automotive policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
