About The Position

Michael’s House is currently seeking a Business Development Representative. The Business Development Representative reports to the Business Development Director and serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring individuals or organizations. The Business Development Representative is responsible for promoting the facility’s services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. Schedule is based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, weekend and holiday hours, as directed by the Business Development Director. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of marketing and/or sales, referral development, account management, sales growth and/or physician relationship-building experience within a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting is required.
  • Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of behavioral health and addiction services marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming is highly preferred.
  • Must possess demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principles; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection analysis and interpretation; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
  • At least three years of marketing and/or sales, referral development, account management, sales growth and/or physician relationship-building experience within a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting is highly preferred.
  • Mental health licensure and/or Alcohol or Other Drug Certification in CA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting the facility’s services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods.
  • Serving as a Brand Ambassador to Michael's House.
