This role focuses on developing relationships with customer decision-makers to generate business for MSD. The representative is expected to uphold the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, demonstrating integrity and the highest ethical and legal standards in all customer interactions. Financial responsibility in adherence to the Company's travel and entertainment policy is also required. The position involves regular visits to customer locations to build relationships and generate business, as well as preparing various sales-related documents such as reports, cost-benefit analyses, presentations, and quotations. A key aspect of the role is ensuring the systematic delivery and resolution of customer inquiries and feedback to the appropriate company personnel. The representative will develop and demonstrate value cases, identify new prospects, and interact with existing customers to increase sales of products and services. This includes assessing potential applications of Company products/services and offering solutions, conducting intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, and coordinating with Operations to understand activity levels, equipment utilization, and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with Operations to improve daily operations and achieve Operational Excellence is crucial, as is developing positive relationships with other departments like Marketing and Product Development. The role requires using technical knowledge of product offerings to support sales and communicating customer feedback for future product developments. Representing the Company in the marketplace through industry organizations and events, staying informed on industry trends, and consistently representing MSD in line with the Company's Core Values are also key responsibilities. Attending sales meetings, seminars, trade shows, and professional organizations, positioning MSD as a market leader, and developing strong customer relationships at all levels are expected. Finally, the representative must maintain accurate records of AR Invoices and ensure timely customer payments.
