About The Position

Expand lines of service as defined by management by developing and retaining referrals from physicians and other key non-physician referral sources. This role involves collaborating closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, management, and education staff to generate referral sources. The representative will develop strong relationships with key referral sources, identify opportunities for partnering and growth, and manage leads to ensure an efficient admissions process. The goal is to increase the number of referral sources within a facility, educate patients, families, and the community on programs and services, and coordinate the completion of the admission process. This role requires frequent travel within the community to schedule meetings and develop contacts, document referral sources in a contact management system, and develop events and educational forums. Maintaining existing referral relationships and utilizing analytic tools like Salesforce for planning and evaluation are crucial. The representative will also act as a liaison in professional forums, communicate the facility's mission, and create outreach initiatives through various channels to ensure regular communication with referral sources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years’ experience in sales and/or marketing required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related health or social services field preferred.

  • Document referral sources within appropriate contact management system.
  • Develop events and educational forums that demonstrate programs and provide an opportunity to identify potential referral sources.
  • Maintain existing referral relationships.
  • Utilize analytic tools, such as Salesforce, to effectively plan and evaluate activity to optimize results.
  • Represent facility in professional forums and communicate mission in all outreach interactions.
  • Create outreach initiatives that will regularly communicate facility mission with referral sources through phone, email, e-blast, written notes, events, networking and other professional activities.
  • Provide the facility or receiving team with appropriate information to facilitate admission when necessary.
