About The Position

IronWatch Security is a growing company that provides armed, unarmed, SPO, and FireWatch services across Virginia and D.C. They protect various types of properties including construction sites, data centers, commercial and retail properties, residential communities, and federal/government facilities. The company emphasizes direct partnerships and utilizes modern reporting technology, with a team composed of former firefighters, EMTs, and seasoned security professionals. This role is for a Business Development Representative who is expected to own new business development within the company's service areas. The representative will identify opportunities, engage with decision-makers, and close qualified contracts. This position offers direct collaboration with leadership and support from an operational team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in security services, facility services, staffing, construction services, or a related field selling into the same buyers
  • Familiarity with Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. markets and the regulatory environment
  • Self-directed — you can run your own week without being micromanaged
  • Strong written and verbal communication; you'll be in front of clients and writing proposals
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings

Responsibilities

  • Develop and close new contracts across construction, data center, commercial/retail property management, residential/HOA, and government/federal sectors
  • Leverage existing network of property managers, GCs, facility directors, procurement officers, and contracting officers to generate qualified pipeline
  • Represent IronWatch at industry events, association meetings, and on-site walkthroughs
  • Build proposals and pricing in partnership with operations leadership
  • Maintain client relationships through the early phase of each engagement to ensure smooth handoff and renewal positioning
  • Track activity and pipeline in our CRM with the same accountability we bring to incident reporting
