About The Position

The Business Development Representative is a critical role, as this is an extension of our direct selling force. This role will work directly with internal stakeholders and prospects to: Build new relationships with businesses, inform decision makers about Dayforce products, identify new opportunities to increase sales pipeline, help progress existing opportunities and provide strategic support to ensure a smooth sales process end-to-end. Some travel may be required for corporate and sales team meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred - or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience (B2B and HCM SaaS preferred)
  • Strong prospecting, financial and business analysis skills.
  • Excellent communications, presentation, and people skills are essential to creating the right rapport.
  • Proven organizational skills and highly self-disciplined.
  • Computer proficiency with standard office applications.
  • Excellent time management skills critical to success.
  • Driven to succeed attitude, organized, creative, and team-success oriented.
  • An understanding of common sales cycles.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of prospecting experience in a business-to-business environment.
  • 3+ years of sales experience nurturing pipeline with 6+ month sales cycles.
  • Payroll/HRIS direct selling experience.
  • Experience working with and selling to Senior and C-level roles.
  • Prior experience in an Inside Sales, Business Development or Virtual Sales role.
  • Experience using Software Sales tech stack like: Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Sendoso, and Vidyard.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to strategically target assigned accounts.
  • Research accounts and understand targeted prospect’s Human Capital Management needs, challenges, and future roadmap through conversations across prospect organization.
  • Understand Dayforce’s product suite and demonstrate knowledge to make targeted prospect recommendations.
  • Generate new relationships and sales opportunities through account-based prospecting, targeting multiple personas inside the account through a multi-channel outreach (daily outbound outreach, telephone, email, webinar, social media, direct mail campaigns, key strategic initiatives etc.).
  • Apply critical time management skills to the following: Managing sales partnerships, consistent communication with prospects, execution in outbound efforts, engaging with decision makers, developing pipeline, and progressing opportunities.
  • Communicate and work with Account Executives throughout the sales process to establish and execute strategies that effectively present a solid business case to prospects on how to best leverage Dayforce.
  • Attain sales quota by creating and executing a business plan with partners to exceed revenue goals and evangelize Dayforce value.
  • Continuously maintain pipeline data and update daily activity in CRM.
