Summary Are you ready to become part of something special? Join one of the industry’s largest Material Handling networks as a Business Development Representative! As a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for driving your own career, we just provide the fuel! Our program provides hands-on training in the following: inside sales, outside sales (Account Manger ride-alongs), operations (shadowing), as well as our extensive product lines. Business Development Representatives (BDRs) work to find new sales leads through business directories, personal research, client referrals, and existing company resources. BDRs are friendly, well-spoken, not discouraged by hearing no, and have a strong work ethic. BDRs will assist Account Managers (AM) by referring qualified leads and in maintaining and developing existing accounts.

Requirements

  • Develop and deliver technically competent, customer facing product walk-arounds, product demonstrations and sales presentations that align with customer goals, challenges, and growth objectives.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or extensive related experience
  • Inside sales experience preferred
  • Strong phone presence and the ability to dial dozens of calls per day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manager time efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s product lines, technical aspects, business cycle, and customer support.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calling, and email/social media connections.
  • Source new leads
  • Maintains and expands database of prospects within assigned territory.
  • Routes qualified opportunities to the appropriate AMs for further development and closure.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements.
  • Updating job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and promotions; participating in educational opportunities; adapting to changing technologies.
  • Assists AMs with information gathering and quoting when necessary.
  • Calls for updates from existing accounts.
  • Work with current Account Managers to include sales calls and visits.
  • Work with Account Managers throughout the quoting process to familiarize with internal processes.
  • Present to regional teams for updates and alignment
  • Other duties as assigned.
