About The Position

We are proud to present this exclusive opportunity on behalf of a reputable commercial landscape contractor with an established and expanding presence in the Charlotte market. This is a role for a closer — someone who knows the Charlotte commercial landscape market, can walk a site and build an estimate without hand-holding, and gets energized by building a book of business from scratch. Requirements

  • 3–10 years of experience in commercial landscape sales, preferably within a branch-model contractor environment
  • Demonstrated ability to estimate landscape maintenance independently — not reliant on operations for estimating support
  • Working knowledge of commercial maintenance pricing, contract structures, and the Charlotte competitive landscape
  • Proven track record in new-business development — not just account management or renewals
  • Motivated by a recurring commission model that rewards long-term account retention and relationship building

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Aspire or similar landscape business management software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, estimate, and close commercial landscape maintenance contracts across the North Charlotte / Mooresville / Statesville territory
  • Self-estimate using Aspire and conduct independent site walks — operations estimating support is limited during peak season
  • Build and manage a pipeline targeting large on-site accounts, HOAs, route-based maintenance, and new construction enhancements
  • Collaborate with the Charlotte branch manager and account management team on smooth sold-work transitions
  • Contribute to the company's five-year growth objective of doubling the landscape division

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 depending on landscape experience and market readiness
  • Commission: 3% in Year 1, 2% in Year 2, 1% in Year 3 — paid monthly as accounts are billed
  • OTE: ~$40,000 on $1M in new annual sales, plus margin and contract-length kickers
  • Year 1 Sales Target: $1,000,000 in new revenue (prorated based on start date)
