About The Position

In this role, you will support strategic growth initiatives across U.S. Government, defense, intelligence, and allied mission environments by identifying, qualifying, and advancing new business opportunities aligned to SES Space & Defense capabilities. You will help drive pipeline development, customer engagement, capture support, and market positioning efforts focused on satellite communications, secure networking, managed services, and mission-critical space-enabled solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business development leadership, engineering, operations, and proposal teams to help shape opportunities, support customer relationships, and position the organization for long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development, capture, strategic sales, or growth-focused roles supporting government or defense-related customers
  • Familiarity with DoD, Intelligence Community, civilian agency, or allied government acquisition environments
  • Understanding of government procurement lifecycle, contract vehicles, and customer engagement processes
  • Experience supporting pipeline development, CRM management, opportunity tracking, and capture activities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, finance, contracts, and leadership teams

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SATCOM, space systems, secure networking, managed communications, or mission-focused technology environments preferred
  • Active Secret clearance preferred; TS/SCI or ability to obtain and maintain desired

Responsibilities

  • Support business development and growth strategy activities across DoD, Intelligence Community, civilian agency, and allied mission environments
  • Build and maintain qualified pipeline opportunities aligned to company growth priorities
  • Assist with opportunity qualification, account planning, competitive analysis, and capture support activities
  • Develop and maintain customer and partner relationships across government and industry stakeholders
  • Support proposal development, solution positioning, customer briefings, and executive presentations
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, operations, contracts, finance, and leadership teams
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence activities to identify emerging mission and technology trends
  • Maintain CRM systems, pipeline forecasting, and opportunity tracking documentation with strong discipline and accuracy
  • Support industry events, conferences, customer engagements, and strategic partnership activities
  • Contribute to development of growth strategies tied to SATCOM, secure connectivity, space systems, and mission-focused communications capabilities
