  • Experience selling face to face; the role is not inside sales, SDR, or SaaS account executive work.
  • Comfort walking into businesses unannounced, handling rejection, and following up persistently.
  • Interest in working in the field, driving throughout the territory, and visiting stores.
  • A solid understanding of how retailers operate.
  • Strong in-person communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a schedule and territory independently while collaborating with Account Management.
  • Comfort logging activity in a CRM such as Salesforce.
  • Must currently live in the Houston metro area and be able to travel throughout it regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with consumer financing, lease-to-own, or point-of-sale financing.
  • Relevant backgrounds may include door-to-door sales, outside sales to retail stores or dealers, field sales for a distributor or route-based business, or competitive experience as a former athlete.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and visit furniture, appliance, and durable goods retailers across the territory to build a sales pipeline.
  • Meet with owners and store leaders in person, and follow up by phone and email to close deals.
  • Present Kafene’s lease-to-own program in terms of each retailer’s goals, customers, and sales.
  • Develop and execute a business development plan to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Work with Account Management to onboard new retailers and support them through their first 90 days.
  • Share information about competitors, market trends, and merchant needs with leadership, marketing, and product teams.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with Kafene covering 80% of costs, including coverage for spouses, children, and other dependents.
  • 401(k) plan available from the first day of employment.
  • Flexible paid time off starting from the first day of employment.
  • Base salary of $75,000–$80,000 plus commission.
