About The Position

This position is a spokesperson and relationship developer, not a closer. You walk into industry events, sit down with facility managers, meet with our existing clients to understand what matters to them and what we can do to help, and open doors. When a real opportunity emerges, the inside team takes the lead on scoping, pricing, and proposals. You stay close to the buyer as their guide. This role does none of the heavy lifting that overwhelmed previous reps, such as proposals, bids, contracts, or closing. The company believes that supporting a salesperson with back-end work takes them away from building real relationships, and this role was built around that understanding. The company emphasizes listening over closing, with a straight salary compensation model instead of commission.

Requirements

  • B2B sales or business development experience in facility services, commercial services, or another field-based environment where trust drives the business.
  • A real network in Greater LA, or the credibility and drive to build one.
  • Active or aspiring involvement in IFMA, BOMA, IREM, or similar organizations.
  • Self-direction, as this is a remote, field-first role with a large territory. You own your week.
  • Exceptionally curious, reads widely, and is genuinely interested in how places run.
  • Confident in your own intellect and do not need a script.
  • Seeks first to understand.
  • Confident communicator and presenter who leads every conversation with genuine curiosity rather than a pitch.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue accounts worth your time through LinkedIn, email, phone, or any channel that makes sense, with the goal of opening a conversation, not pitching a service. You own your outreach from the first contact, and the inside team takes over once a real opportunity emerges.
  • Attend IFMA, BOMA, IREM, and target industry events to develop relationships that turn into business over time.
  • Take in-person meetings routed by our outbound and inside sales teams when a prospect needs face-to-face contact.
  • Partner with 20 to 25 of our top existing accounts to deepen the relationships.
  • Represent iNX as the face of the company in this market.
