About The Position

Wavelynx Technologies is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its customer base in the North-Eastern Region. This role involves enacting business development strategies, identifying growth opportunities, expanding the partner base, and maintaining relationships with OEMs, partners, and customers. The position is ideal for entrepreneurial individuals experienced in developing strategies and collaborating with executive leadership to build and deepen customer relationships. The role requires evaluating sales strategies, executing plans, managing financial and strategic plans, and collaborating with other business units within the sales organization. This is a virtual/remote position, but candidates must reside near a metro market in the Northeast. The territory covers VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY, VT, CT, MA, RI, NH, & ME. Up to 50% travel may be required.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or a comparable record of sales leadership experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in access control or the security industry, or SaaS sales preferred.
  • Previous experience in building a sales function for a product line is desired.
  • Proven ability to deliver on revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with key business leaders to identify growth opportunities and drive new business development.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services to meet them.
  • Becomes an expert in Wavelynx’s products and services to educate the market on solutions and articulate the Wavelynx value proposition.
  • Works with customers to tailor solutions using Wavelynx products, aiming to provide a seamless transition plan for end users.
  • Works with marketing to develop sales presentations, displays, and materials.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
