About The Position

This role is focused on leading US lead generation activities, developing and executing outreach strategies for high-priority accounts, and generating market insights to drive engagement with JF services. The Business Development Manager will qualify leads, book appointments for the New Business team, and act as a bridge between initial contact and a defined opportunity. The position also involves tracking KPIs, analyzing performance data, refining lead generation tactics, and providing mentorship to junior team members. Maintaining accurate CRM records and proficiency in sales enablement tools are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Some experience in an agency sales role.
  • Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders across a number of industries.
  • Proficient in CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Sales Engagement tools), with the ability to train others.
  • Advanced understanding of the agency’s service offerings and industry-specific challenges, including a thorough understanding of current digital marketing trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Good understanding of our identified Personas and ICP tiers, and how that translates to different communication strategies.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with a focus on consultative selling and a consultative approach to prospect engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and adjust strategies for optimal outcomes.
  • Knowledge of applied sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN, MEDDIC) and their application in prospecting processes.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude towards rejection.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to self-manage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead US lead generation activities by taking ownership of always-on and strategic outreach strategies.
  • Develop and execute highly targeted, bespoke outreach strategies for high-priority accounts within the ICP, leveraging deep research and market insights.
  • Generate and utilize high-level market insights, data, content, and thought leadership to drive engagement and interest in JF services.
  • Conduct initial research, qualify leads based on advanced criteria, and book new appointments for the New Business team.
  • Serve as the critical bridge, attending initial meetings and nurturing potential clients until a clear, defined opportunity is ready for the New Business team.
  • Track personal KPIs, analyze outreach performance data, identify messaging trends, and adjust strategies to maximize conversion rates.
  • Work closely with team leadership and marketing to refine lead generation tactics and ensure alignment on strategic account targeting.
  • Provide informal support, feedback, and mentorship for onboarding and training junior team members to uplift team capabilities.
  • Maintain meticulous, accurate records in the CRM, expanding data and logging all activity, while ensuring proficiency in sales enablement tools.
