About The Position

You will join the Beverages business unit within Global Marketing, a dynamic, international team of business developers and marketeers based across Denmark, Switzerland, and the USA. The team brings together commercial and scientific expertise to revolutionize the beverage industry—working with biosolutions such as enzymes, yeast, and bacteria across beer, wine, juice, and non‑alcoholic beverages. With eight full‑time colleagues (and additional student assistants) spanning six nationalities, collaboration, ambition, and growth are at the core of how we work. The Role & Your Impact As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving innovation and commercial deployment of Novonesis’ beverage portfolio, with a strong focus on brewing. Your impact comes from translating consumer trends and customer needs into compelling value propositions that strengthen our innovation pipeline and support long‑term growth. You will work at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution, helping shape how our solutions succeed in the market.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in international business development or marketing, ideally within food ingredients
  • An MS in Marketing, Business, or a related technical field
  • Proven ability to develop and commercialize new business areas and food solutions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Fluency in working in an international, cross‑cultural environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience from the brewing industry (an advantage, but not a requirement)
  • Curiosity for emerging consumer and market trends
  • A natural connector mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing a strong pipeline of new products, particularly within brewing
  • Supporting the commercial deployment of portfolio initiatives and product launches
  • Converting consumer trends, customer pain points, and solution benefits into clear value propositions
  • Identifying emerging trends and product extension opportunities to support growth plans
  • Building business cases to ensure financially attractive innovation projects
  • Collaborating closely with Applied Research, R&D, Sales, and external stakeholders to align portfolio strategy with market needs
