About The Position

HEPCO, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in engineering, IT, telecommunications, energy, and technical staffing solutions for clients across more than twenty states. Since 1973, we have connected top talent with leading organizations in both the public and private sectors. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of selling staffing and workforce solutions. Candidates must have prior business development or sales experience with a staffing agency.

Requirements

5–7 years of business development or sales experience with a staffing agency is required.
Experience selling engineering, IT, telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, or other technical staffing solutions is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas and developing new client accounts.
Strong understanding of contract staffing models (temporary, temp-to-perm, and direct hire).
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Job Diva, Salesforce, Bullhorn, or equivalent) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
Prior business development or sales experience with a staffing agency is required. Applicants whose experience is limited to general sales outside the staffing industry will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to identify new client opportunities across engineering, IT, and telecom industries.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., hiring managers, procurement officers, HR leaders).
Conduct outbound prospecting, networking, and client visits to present HEPCO’s staffing solutions.
Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and manage the proposal process in collaboration with internal teams.
Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote HEPCO’s brand and expand professional network.
Track sales pipeline activity in CRM and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership.
