About The Position

Cozzini Bros. is America's #1 commercial knife rental and sharpening service, serving major restaurant and grocery chains as well as independent businesses. The company is seeking a Business Development Manager to execute an individual contributor role focused on growing market share nationwide. This role involves building relationships with commercial kitchens in an assigned territory and closing new accounts. The onboarding process includes field training, peer-to-peer training, and a week-long "Cozzini University" in Chicago for in-depth training on sales processes, product knowledge, and collaboration. The position offers unlimited potential with a competitive base salary, an aggressive commission plan with guaranteed commission during training, and provided tools for success, including a company iPhone, iPad, and vehicle, along with an inventory of blades and knives for samples.

Requirements

  • Exposure or experience to the foodservice industry
  • A successful background in a remote field sales / business development role
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a plus)
  • Highly motivated, target-driven with a proven track record
  • Highly competitive, a “refuse to lose” mentality.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Coachable team players
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet pre-employment and periodic MVR requirements (as outlined in Cozzini Bros. Fleet Safety Program).
  • Pass background screen and drug test
  • Possess the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is not required, but a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Executing 15+ in-person sales contacts every day / 60 each week
  • Leaving a minimum of 8 knife trials with prospective customers each week
  • Establishing a minimum of 4 new customers each week through cold calling, networking, social media prospecting, and lead execution
  • Increasing value with the addition of program solutions to two of our current customers each week
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records in Salesforce
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of sales knives
  • Working effectively with all Cozzini Bros. service and support team members
  • Performing all duties safely (knife handling, operating company vehicles, being inside commercial kitchens)
  • Maintaining the Cozzini Bros. company vehicle
