About The Position

Aviso is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their NEI Sales team. This role is responsible for driving business forward for the Asset Management division by achieving specific sales targets from Investment Advisors within a defined sales territory. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with other sales team members to meet territory sales goals.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field.
  • CSC is required.
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in a sales environment, preferably in Mutual Funds.
  • Energetic, and friendly individual with self-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and attentive to detail.
  • Advanced market knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Strong cold calling skills.
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed additional designations.
  • Bilingual skills in French are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and utilize a consultative sales process to focus on the needs of the Investment Advisor.
  • Build and develop a territory of qualified advisors not currently being serviced by NEI, in addition to partnering effectively with the wholesaler.
  • Adhere to the prescribed amount of quality calls set yearly for each territory.
  • Follow-up with all attendees of branch presentations, dealer conferences and any/all PM events.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and identify all opportunities to sell and promote NEI’s investment products at the broker/dealer firm level within a sales territory.
  • Communicate identified opportunities to National Sales Management.
