This role is focused on identifying, targeting, and securing new customers, while also establishing and maintaining strong relationships post-conversion to drive long-term value. As an individual contributor, you will play a critical role in expanding Echelon’s market presence by developing and executing strategic sales plans, penetrating new accounts, and positioning our solutions in competitive environments. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned sales professional who thrives on building pipelines, closing complex deals, and creating lasting customer partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in business development or outside sales
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and close complex, high-value deals
  • Strong strategic thinking and territory planning skills
  • Highly self-motivated, with a hunter mentality and a drive to exceed targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience preferred (B2B required; industrial or technical sales a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within strategic markets and industries
  • Develop and execute territory and account acquisition plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Build a robust pipeline through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through negotiation and close
  • Establish strong relationships with new customers and transition them into long-term, revenue-generating accounts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer operations and delivering tailored, value-driven solutions
  • Consistently meet or exceed new business and revenue targets set by sales leadership
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline and activity tracking within CRM systems
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing customer success
