This role focuses on developing new client relationships and expanding business with existing clients. The Business Development Manager will identify opportunities, build relationships within organizations, and position the company to secure new business. They will also be responsible for increasing revenue from existing clients by presenting new opportunities, up-selling, and finding new revenue streams. Establishing positive, long-term client relations, educating clients, and coordinating solutions between company divisions and clients are key aspects of the role. The position involves working closely with Marketing/Sales and operational teams to address client concerns and develop retention strategies. Monitoring client satisfaction, maintaining knowledge of competitors, and achieving marketing/sales call targets are also important. The role requires collaboration on contract negotiations, lead generation and follow-up, and developing aggressive marketing/sales strategies. Attendance at pre-bid meetings, project walk-throughs, and networking events is expected. The Business Development Manager will partner with local Operations Managers and maintain contact with key accounts. A thorough understanding of the company's business model and methods is necessary. The role involves communicating leads and potential deals to senior management, submitting sales pipeline reports, and developing annual/quarterly forecasts. Custom presentations, sales/marketing materials, and proposals will be created. The position also includes contacting and qualifying businesses for sales leads and providing initial client support. Travel is required.
