About The Position

Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its footprint across Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan). This is more than a sales role; it's an opportunity to shape market strategy, build lasting partnerships, and deliver innovative solutions that power the industry. As a key member of the team, the manager will lead business development efforts and play a critical role in strengthening Sandvik’s presence in the region. Sandvik is a global, high-tech engineering group providing solutions that enhance productivity, profitability and sustainability for the manufacturing, mining and infrastructure industries. In 2024, the Group had approximately 41,000 employees and revenues of about 123 billion SEK in about 150 countries within continuing operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial sectors
  • Solid understanding of comminution processes, crushing & screening equipment, or mineral processing flowsheets
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to translate customer needs into practical, value-driven solutions
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who thrives working independently across a large territory
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams

  • Experience in Western Canadian markets and familiarity with regional mining operations

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share across Western Canada
  • Identify and capture new equipment sales opportunities in crushing, screening, and related technologies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mine operators, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and consultants
  • Own and manage a robust sales pipeline focused on lead generation
  • Collaborate closely with technical, product, and service teams to deliver tailored, high-value solutions
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy and uncover emerging opportunities
  • Represent Sandvik at industry events, trade shows, and customer sites
  • Support proposals, tenders, and technical presentations aligned with customer needs
  • Partner with aftermarket and service teams to ensure long-term customer success and lifecycle value
