About The Position

Law Business Research (LBR) is seeking a Business Development Manager for Event Sales to join their Commercial department. This full-time role is based in New York and offers a compensation of $80,000 per year. Requirements

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, particularly a highly professional telephone manner.
  • Aptitude for working towards targets and deadlines and devising a personal strategy to hit and exceed them.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated individual able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of using a CRM system.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for Salesforce CRM experience.
  • Previous experience selling within the legal or professional services market is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Content Lead and Sales Managers, devise and execute the go-to-market plan for dedicated events.
  • Generate new business through research using extensive sister products, client communication, and follow-up.
  • Sell sponsorship for allocated events.
  • Gain brand knowledge through reading news services to offer tailored products to new and existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain contact with potential clients via email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Create and implement a sales plan for products to meet sales targets.
  • Pitch to clients and leads in a bespoke manner, ensuring a high level of customer service.
