StratoscopeWest Palm Beach, FL
$65,000 - $75,000Remote

About The Position

Stratoscope is seeking a driven, growth-minded Business Development Manager to help expand our client base and generate new business across our portfolio of security, event, technology, and risk management solutions. Our Purpose: We exist to make complex environments safer, more predictable, and better managed through disciplined planning and professional execution. As a Business Development Manager, you will help advance this purpose by identifying prospective clients, building relationships, uncovering needs, and connecting organizations with the right combination of Stratoscope capabilities. Stratoscope provides consulting and operational expertise across complex event and security environments, supported by specialized capabilities across the broader Stratoscope organization, including Ingressotek, Stratos K9, Stratos EP, and other solutions. Together, our capabilities span event security and operations, crowd management, security planning, weapons detection and screening technology, K9 detection services, executive protection, and related security and risk solutions. This is a hands-on, quota-carrying sales role for someone who wants to build. You will be expected to create your own opportunities through consistent prospecting and relationship development while also advancing qualified opportunities through the sales process. You'll work alongside experienced leaders and subject matter experts while developing the relationships, industry knowledge, and commercial skills needed to grow into an increasingly sophisticated seller. We're looking for a rising sales professional who combines initiative and persistence with curiosity, professionalism, and strong business judgment. Experience in security, live events, sports and entertainment, or a related industry is extremely valuable.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of B2B sales, business development, or relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business, building pipeline, and/or contributing to revenue growth.
  • Experience working toward individual sales goals, quotas, or other measurable business development targets.
  • A willingness and ability to prospect actively and consistently—you are comfortable doing the work required to create opportunities from the ground up.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to engage prospective clients through phone, email, networking, meetings, and industry events.
  • A consultative approach to sales, with the curiosity to understand a client's needs before recommending a solution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with clients and prospects.
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where initiative and personal accountability matter.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50–75% throughout the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales, business development, or professional experience within security, risk management, live events, sports and entertainment, venue operations, security technology, executive protection, or another related industry.
  • Existing relationships within sports and entertainment, corporate security, venues, event production, higher education, government, or other relevant markets.
  • Familiarity with event operations including security, weapons detection and screening, K9 detection, executive protection, or related disciplines.
  • Experience using a CRM to manage prospecting activity, pipeline, and sales opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build pipeline. Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, strategic research, and other business development activities. Take ownership of creating opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
  • Develop new client relationships. Build credibility with prospective clients, learn their businesses and operating environments, and identify challenges that Stratoscope may be positioned to solve.
  • Sell across the Stratoscope portfolio. Develop a working knowledge of Stratoscope's broader capabilities, identify opportunities across event security and operations, consulting, crowd management, screening technology, K9 detection, executive protection, and other security and risk solutions, and connect clients with the appropriate internal experts when specialized support is needed.
  • Advance opportunities through the sales process. Manage opportunities from initial outreach and discovery through the appropriate stages of the sales process. Depending on the solution and client need, independently drive opportunities through close or coordinate with the appropriate Stratoscope leaders and subject matter experts to transition or jointly advance the opportunity.
  • Conduct thoughtful discovery. Ask the right questions to understand a prospect's needs, priorities, challenges, and decision-making process. Bring in the appropriate Stratoscope subject matter experts to help develop solutions when needed.
  • Support proposals and presentations. Help develop compelling proposals, presentations, pricing materials, and other client-facing deliverables that clearly communicate Stratoscope's capabilities and value.
  • Develop your network. Build relationships across relevant industries and markets, including sports and entertainment, live events, corporate security, venues, event production, government, and other environments where Stratoscope's capabilities can provide value.
  • Represent Stratoscope in the market. Attend conferences, industry events, client meetings, site visits, and other business development opportunities throughout the United States.
  • Manage your business with discipline. Maintain accurate CRM records, manage your pipeline and follow-up activity, track progress against sales goals, and provide reliable visibility into opportunities and next steps.
