About The Position

Gartner’s Business Development Executives expand the company’s market presence by acquiring new clients and building trust-based relationships with C-level executives. They learn clients’ mission-critical priorities and identify opportunities to deliver value relevant to the industries in which clients operate. The role owns the full sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation and close, then transitions new clients to account management for ongoing value delivery. Business Developers are results-driven, client-committed, and collaborative, and build a book of business over time. The role is assigned a territory of Large Enterprise prospects, including organizations with no existing Gartner spend and prospects that may already be clients in other Gartner areas. Gartner’s GBS Large Enterprise segment serves organizations with more than $1 billion in annual revenue. This position focuses on the Public Sector HR area. Travel may be needed. The role offers a base salary range of $102,000–$147,000, plus participation in an annual bonus plan or a role-based uncapped sales incentive plan, as applicable.
