Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in business development, strategic sales, or client relationship management within the Technology sector, preferably Data Centers.
  • Proven success turning new relationships into profitable, long-term partnerships.
  • Regional business development experience in Oregon strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Highly skilled at building relationships and earning trust.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator.
  • Strategic thinker with sound problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and effective at managing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Focus on targeted enterprise clients within the existing Data Center vertical, with priority on the Hillsboro and Portland, OR markets.
  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers in data center operations leadership roles.
  • Understand client organizational structures and position MacDonald-Miller for long-term sustaining MEP opportunities.
  • Advance client relationships from cold introductions to warm, active opportunities.
  • Transition qualified opportunities to internal technical sales teams to develop and close business.
  • Manage accounts through an established five-stage relationship model—from initial contact to trusted strategic partner.
  • Collaborate with Oregon leadership to refresh annual target account lists, replacing unresponsive accounts with new opportunities.
  • Partner closely with sales managers, project executives, and operations teams.
  • Provide insights and introductions that allow technical teams to enter conversations with trust already established.
  • Maintain accurate records of commission-eligible opportunities and agreed-upon payout terms.
