About The Position
Ryan Transportation, part of Shamrock Trading Corporation, is seeking a competitive sales professional to win new business and build long-term client partnerships in freight brokerage and third-party logistics. The Business Development Associate identifies, pursues, and secures new accounts while expanding relationships with existing customers. The role calls for industry knowledge, a consultative sales approach, and a demonstrated ability to close high-value deals in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven success in high-performance B2B sales, preferably in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related industry.
- Ability to develop and close new business through cold calling, networking, and strategic outreach.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive, quota-driven environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to thrive with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities
- Prospect for and secure new customers requiring freight brokerage and third-party logistics services.
- Convert high-potential prospects into long-term clients.
- Build, grow, and maintain strategic relationships with existing customers to maximize account value.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business within current accounts.
- Manage and advance a sales pipeline using CRM tools for lead handling, call tracking, and opportunity management.
- Advise clients as an expert in transportation logistics.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine sales strategies and drive business growth.
- Oversee customer onboarding, including contract negotiation, account setup, and operational handoff.
- Build internal partnerships across departments to support effective service delivery.
