About The Position

The Business Development Analyst supports PowerFlex’s core origination efforts through research, analysis, and quantitative and qualitative deal support. The role develops expertise in an assigned market or focus area and provides recommendations to guide the development of assigned deals. Working directly with senior professionals and collaborating with colleagues, the analyst contributes to solar, storage, and EV charging project analysis and helps strengthen the team’s knowledge and effectiveness. This hybrid role is based out of PowerFlex’s New York office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a 2026 graduation date.
• Ability to work in a demanding and entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Intellectual curiosity about grid-edge energy systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with financial modeling is preferred but not required.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support Business Development Directors with marketing and business development activities.
• Analyze utility tariffs and bills.
• Research state and utility incentives and policies.
• Conduct financial modeling.
• Prepare presentations.
• Provide guidance on market strategy.
• Prepare responses to RFPs.
• Research prospects and portfolio accounts in detail.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of CRM data.
• Coordinate solar, storage, and EV charging design.
• Track and participate in industry advocacy groups, such as CALSEIA and MSSIA.
• Create and update analysis tools.
