About The Position

The Business Applications Developer develops, deploys, supports, and improves web applications, internal business tools, workflow applications, and other production software. The role combines frontend and backend development, SQL and relational database work, API integration, application security, testing, debugging, and secure deployment. The developer maintains and enhances existing applications and translates business challenges into practical, user-friendly technical solutions in collaboration with nontechnical stakeholders. The successful candidate takes ownership of solutions from concept and prototype through production support, and identifies opportunities to reduce manual work, processing time, and operational errors through technology, integration, and automation. The role may involve AI-powered applications, document extraction, intelligent automation, ERP or warehouse management system integrations, and tools used in distribution, inventory, or warehouse operations. The degree listed is beneficial but not required; relevant hands-on experience and demonstrated technical capabilities will be strongly considered.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and supporting web applications, internal business tools, workflow applications, or comparable production software.
Strong hands-on experience with frontend and backend application development.
Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases.
Experience developing and integrating applications using APIs.
Understanding of API authentication, data validation, error handling, and troubleshooting.
Experience with source control, testing, debugging, secure deployment, and application security.
Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications and codebases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate business challenges into effective technical solutions.
Experience collaborating with nontechnical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly applications.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and ability to review, test, debug, and maintain AI-generated code.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently manage development projects.
Strong communication, organization, and project ownership skills.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; relevant hands-on experience and demonstrated technical capabilities will also be strongly considered.
Experience developing AI-powered applications or automated business workflows.
Familiarity with optical character recognition (OCR), document extraction, and intelligent automation technologies.
Experience integrating applications with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
Knowledge of distribution, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
Experience working with NetSuite, IntraOne, or Microsoft 365 environments.
