About The Position

This position serves priesthood leaders by providing temples, headquarters, and other facilities for their use in helping bring souls unto Christ. The Business and Data Analyst analyzes business processes and tasks to determine how automated tools can support them, identifies performance improvement and system enhancement opportunities, and develops an understanding of Special Projects Department processes. The role participates on project teams to represent business needs in a development environment and applies information systems, data management, and continuous improvement principles.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of department processes and operations.
Knowledge of business systems analysis and business management principles.
Proven team skills.
Highly skilled in standard desktop software, including MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Ability to perform detailed technical data analysis and use business processes.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to keep confidences and appropriately handle sensitive data and documents.
To qualify as a paid intern, be enrolled in an educational institution or be within one year following graduation, and sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

Nice To Haves

A completed or in-progress degree in information systems or a business management field.

Responsibilities

Review department processes and proposals for process and system changes (20%).
Participate with development team members to ensure design requirements are understood and validate development efforts (20%).
Provide support for third-party products as assigned (20%).
Provide support to field representatives, the help desk, and system users (20%).
Document business processes and product design requirements (10%).
Organize and manage information from databases obtained from other divisions, departments, and other sources (10%).
