The Business Analytics Specialist, under general supervision, collects, analyzes, and interprets data, completes financial audits, reconciliations, and spreadsheets, as well as general accounts payable & card services support. Position Overview The Business Analytics Specialist, under general supervision, collects, analyzes, and interprets data, completes financial audits, reconciliations, and spreadsheets, as well as general accounts payable & card services support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• one year of experience
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
• Excellent financial communication and presentation skills with the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
• This position is security sensitive
• This position will require export-control authorization prior to starting employment.
• This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures
• All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements
• This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends

Responsibilities

• Audits of financial transactions
• Collects and maintains data from various expenditure platforms.
• Reviews expenditure transactions from all payment methods to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Professionally & effectively communicates findings to supervisor and/or constituents.
• Analyzes, prepares, and assists in departmental reporting requirements with federal and state regulations.
• Financial reconciliations
• Maintains financial reconciliations on various accounts.
• Coordinates with departments to address and correct financial discrepancies timely.
• General accounts payable & card services support
• Collaborates with departmental staff to enhance organizational performance.
• Performs back up support for immediate departmental needs.
• Provides excellent customer service with external and internal constituents.
