About The Position

The Business Analytics Specialist supports business performance and decision-making by developing reports, analyzing data, and delivering insights that improve operational effectiveness. This role leverages data from multiple systems to identify trends, support reporting needs, and provide analytical support to business partners. Working under general guidance, the specialist builds foundational expertise in analytics, reporting tools, and business processes while contributing to ongoing reporting, dashboard development, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in business analytics, reporting, data analysis, finance, operations analysis, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience working with reporting, visualization, or business intelligence tools.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support business decision-making.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain recurring operational, financial, and performance reports to support business and leadership needs.
• Compile, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using reporting and analytics tools.
• Assist business partners in defining reporting requirements and documenting key performance measures.
• Prepare routine analyses and summaries that communicate findings in a clear and actionable manner.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, planning, and business performance reporting activities through data gathering and analysis.
• Contribute to ad hoc reporting requests, business reviews, and analytical projects.
• Assist in tracking vendor performance metrics and compiling vendor-related analytical reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency through automation and standardization.
• Develop knowledge of business operations, performance drivers, and analytics best practices.
