Business Analyst
About The Position
The Business Analyst will support enterprise data and analytics initiatives by gathering business and functional requirements, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and facilitating source-system discovery and onboarding. The role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and platform teams to help ensure data integration and analytics solutions align with business objectives and operational requirements. The position is located in Denver, Colorado. W2 employment only; the employer cannot support H1B or CPT work authorization. Local candidates are highly preferred. C2C, 1099, and third-party profiles are not accepted.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology, data, or analytics projects.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience creating process flows, requirements documentation, and project artifacts.
- Understanding of data integration, reporting, and analytics concepts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, or enterprise analytics initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of data governance and business process improvement practices.
Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and data requirements.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Support source-system discovery, inventory, prioritization, and onboarding.
- Document business processes, data flows, integration requirements, and reporting needs.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
- Create and maintain requirements documentation, process maps, and project artifacts.
- Work with architects and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and solution validation.
- Coordinate stakeholder communications and status reporting.
- Assist with knowledge transfer, training materials, and operational documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased business value.
