About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Business Analyst to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. This role involves leading requirements elicitation, developing process maps and specifications, performing impact analyses, and coordinating with various teams to ensure requirements are implemented and validated. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining the requirements repository, producing program-level reporting, and mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field; OR Relevant DoD/Military training (examples: 4‑11‑C22 (CP), 4‑11‑C23, Systems Requirements Planner (Advanced) Playlist); OR Relevant professional certifications or equivalent experience (examples: SecurityX/CASP+, GCSA, GSLC).
  • Business analysis, requirements engineering, or systems analysis experience with at least 4 years supporting DoD/enterprise modernization or systems acquisition programs.
  • Process modeling (BPMN), requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, Jama, or equivalent), data analysis, stakeholder facilitation, traceability matrices, test-case alignment, and executive briefing.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills for technical and leadership audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DoD/ARNG/Joint Force program experience
  • Familiarity with DoDAF Views, RMF/RMF evidence needs, operational concept development, and Agile/Iterative development environments
  • Experience producing business cases, ROMs, and POM/APOM inputs

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation via interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and data analysis with stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Develop process maps, As‑Is/To‑Be workflows, use cases, user stories, business rules, functional specifications, and traceability matrices.
  • Perform impact/feasibility analyses, policy cross‑walks, and cost/benefit assessments to inform COAs and decision packages.
  • Coordinate with systems engineers, developers, integrators, trainers, and PMO to ensure requirements are implemented and validated.
  • Support requirements verification, acceptance criteria definition, test-case alignment, and user acceptance activities.
  • Maintain requirements repository and version control; manage change requests and requirements traceability throughout lifecycle.
  • Produce business cases, decision papers, executive briefs, and program-level reporting for leadership.
  • Mentor junior analysts and advise on best practices in requirements management and process engineering.
