About The Position

The Guidewire Business Analyst role is focused on supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations for Personal Lines Property & Casualty insurance products, including Personal Auto and Homeowners. This person will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and delivery leaders to gather requirements, define business processes, support solution design, and help ensure successful delivery across Agile project teams. We’re looking for someone with strong PolicyCenter knowledge, insurance domain expertise, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 3+ years working on Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
  • Strong domain expertise in Personal Lines P&C Insurance, specifically Personal Auto and Homeowners products.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter v10.x or Cloud is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of policy administration processes, underwriting, rating, and product configuration in PolicyCenter.
  • Guidewire Business Analyst or PolicyCenter certifications preferred.
  • Exposure to Guidewire Digital Portal integrations for Personal Lines preferred.
  • Experience with data migration, system integration, and API requirements in the Guidewire ecosystem preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in Personal Lines Insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and delivery leaders to support successful project execution.
  • Translate Personal Lines insurance processes into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
  • Support PolicyCenter work related to policy administration, underwriting, rating, product configuration, and business rules.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder review meetings.
  • Use Agile/Scrum practices to support delivery, clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and help resolve project questions.
  • Work with teams using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling tools.
  • Support requirements related to data migration, system integration, APIs, and Guidewire ecosystem connectivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, clarify business impacts, and support high-quality solution delivery.
  • Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, business users, technical teams, and project leadership.
