About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Business Analyst for a hybrid role with a Global Financial Institution. This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity. The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between business clients and the technical organization, planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems. They will be responsible for producing business requirement artifacts and will be involved throughout the project life cycle, from inception through post-install transition.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and comfort working with technical and business teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with using AI tools to capture business requirements.
  • Ability to define, measure, and achieve business outcomes.
  • Experience with financial services applications.
  • Payments experience within ISO20022, Wires, SWIFT, ACH, Sanctions, Investigations, or electronic payments.
  • Experience in projects in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience writing user stories within an Agile environment.
  • Experience partnering with line of business to gather business requirements.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Financial services industry experience.
  • Risk management and mitigation experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Business Execution.
  • Contribute to large-scale planning related to Business Execution deliverables.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex Business Execution challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions to understand business problems and how proposed system enhancements address them.
  • Lead or participate in grooming sessions, author user stories, and attend size/commit sessions.
  • Produce business requirement artifacts including Use Cases, Business and Message Rules, User Stories, and Supplemental Specifications.
  • Work with user groups to develop training, resolve questions, and assess user needs.
