About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Business Analyst for a hybrid, 12+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in New York, NY. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and proposing solutions to meet strategic objectives and improve operations.

Requirements

5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Visio, JIRA, and Tableau
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or SAFE certification
Prior experience supporting Credit products and Secured Financing (Repo and Sec Lend/Borrow) trading desks
Experience with Rovo and Copilot

Responsibilities

Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis
Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation
Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams
Support testing, training, and deployment of new systems or enhancements
Facilitate communication between business users and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation to support decision-making
