About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Business Analyst for a temporary, six-month contract assignment with its client in Tallahassee, Florida. The position supports FDACS and requires an experienced analyst with strong technical, communication, and documentation skills. The work schedule is Monday through Friday.

The Business Analyst will perform IT project business analysis, gather and translate requirements, support Agile development, conduct stakeholder sessions, and create technical and process documentation. The role also involves designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts, testing REST APIs and microservices, supporting manual testing, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 7 years of IT business or industry work experience.
• At least 7 years of experience performing business analysis on IT projects.
• At least 7 years of experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• At least 7 years of requirements-gathering experience.
• At least 7 years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• At least 7 years of experience conducting JAD sessions with client stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• At least 7 years of experience designing, maintaining, and scaling custom automated testing frameworks from scratch, such as frameworks using the Page Object Model.
• At least 7 years of experience in automation testing, including designing, writing, and executing test scripts using Selenium or similar tools.
• At least 7 years of experience generating and updating automated test scripts to align with UI changes and new feature deployments.
• At least 5 years of experience testing REST APIs and microservices, including endpoint validation, contract checks, and payload verification.
• Proficiency testing and validating REST APIs with Postman, Insomnia, or other API testing tools.
• At least 7 years of experience translating functional specifications into technical specifications for programmers.
• At least 7 years of experience translating business requirements into use cases or user stories and acceptance criteria.
• At least 7 years of experience translating meeting and written information into mock-ups, process models, and/or process flow models.
• At least 7 years of experience creating technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• At least 7 years of experience collaborating with QA teams, coordinating UAT schedules, conducting UAT sessions, and guiding business testers.
• At least 7 years of experience with process model diagram tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• At least 5 years of manual testing experience, including authoring test scenarios and executing manual checks against business requirements.
• At least 5 years of automation testing experience, including designing, writing, and executing test scripts to verify functionality and find software bugs.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Good writing and technical writing skills.
• Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience deriving business process and data requirements from process and systems documentation.
• Experience creating data dictionaries.

Responsibilities

• Create process model diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• Author test scenarios and perform manual checks against business requirements.
• Derive business process and data requirements by reading and analyzing process and systems documentation.
• Create data dictionaries.
