Requirements

  • An understanding of relational databases and how they are used within information systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees
  • Ability to communicate problems to others for support
  • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university required

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Major or concentration in Information Technology/Systems/Science preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a manufacturing or high tech environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of company operations, systems, and workflows in order to design improvements.
  • Collaborate with supervisor on assignments to understand goals and define requirements/action plans
  • Research hardware and software technologies to maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices
  • Design solutions to make the best use of IT resources (e.g., staff, time, budget) to achieve process improvements
  • Manage assigned tasks by priority with a focus on efficiency
  • Propose solutions to supervisor and stakeholders for evaluation and approval
  • Write detailed requirements for software developers and IT staff
  • Collaborate with software developers to analyze alternatives, clarify requirements, and test solutions
  • Collect and analyze information to evaluate current process efficiency/performance and propose improvements
  • Manage enterprise software vendor accounts and maintain software licensing compliance
  • Address escalated support/production cases
  • Travel to domestic and international field offices, subsidiaries, and satellite companies
  • Use existing database systems and associated software
  • Collaborate on enterprise technology training content and deliver training to new employees
  • As assigned
