Neighborly, a hub of service brands connecting customers to local experts for home and business services, is seeking a Business Analyst Intern for its Technology team. With over 40 years of experience, Neighborly is focused on strategic innovation and building the future of home and business services. This internship offers an opportunity to bring your passion for learning and ambition to support analysis and optimization of the customer journey, contribute to Point-of-Sale (POS) system updates, and participate in data analysis initiatives.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of business process mapping, customer journey mapping, or workflow documentation (coursework or projects acceptable).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets) and ability to interpret data to support decision-making.
  • Exposure to requirements gathering and documentation (e.g., user stories, process flows) through coursework or internships.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Strong interest in customer experience, business analysis, or process improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or interest in retail systems, Point-of-Sale (POS) environments, or transactional systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis and optimization of the end-to-end transactional customer journey, identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in documenting current and future-state customer journeys, including workflows, touchpoints, and pain points across channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment on customer experience initiatives.
  • Contribute to Point-of-Sale (POS) system updates, including documenting requirements, supporting testing, and validating enhancements tied to customer journey improvements.
  • Help maintain clear and organized process documentation, journey maps, and business requirements.
  • Participate in data analysis and insights generation to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support testing efforts (UAT) to ensure POS and process updates meet business and customer needs.
