About The Position

As a Compliance Support Advisor - Individual Insurance and Financial Services, you will report to the Senior Director - Partner Experience - Individual Insurance and Financial Services. You will be the point of contact for distribution networks regarding compliance. You will provide support to the operational compliance team and the oversight team as they apply to Beneva's distribution networks. You will assist the networks with the processes and tools in place to ensure compliance with current regulations. You will contribute to an application based on best practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or another relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in individual insurance and financial services.
  • Experience in an advisory and/or compliance role with a distribution network.
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written, as well as advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • License as a personal insurance representative and/or a collective savings representative with the Autorité des marchés financiers is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany financial center directors and financial security advisors regarding compliance rules and practices, as well as networks during regulatory changes to sales tools.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to share compliance-related news or reminders regarding best practices.
  • Collaborate with the operational compliance team to determine the need for and implementation of new training or communication.
  • Ensure the coordination of activities of different teams related to the creation, updating, and accreditation of continuing education training.
  • Validate internship reports following the probationary period of future financial security advisors and transmit recommendations, if applicable, to network management for approval by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
  • Process customer dissatisfaction according to the established process.
  • Support distribution networks in establishing corrective measures following inspections by the oversight team.
  • Upon recommendation from compliance, carry out follow-ups and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide periodic status reports to network management, particularly regarding activities in the collective savings brokerage discipline.
  • Transmit the annual declaration to advisors and collaborate with the oversight team when follow-ups are required.
  • Act as a compliance ambassador within the distribution networks and participate in the implementation of deployed initiatives.
