About The Position

The Bus Up-Fit Technician is an entry-level technician/mechanic responsible for installing and modifying components on buses and equipment. The role also involves addressing basic mechanical and electrical issues on new buses, charging air-conditioning systems, installing fire suppression systems, fabricating components, and completing bus pre-delivery inspections. The technician must follow company safety procedures and standards and may perform other administrative duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and provide basic hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to wire components according to drawings.
• Understanding of how air-conditioning systems operate.
• Ability to measure and cut to specifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Quality-mindedness and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Install and modify components on buses and equipment.
• Repair basic mechanical and electrical issues on new buses.
