About The Position

The Bus Runner I assists Food Servers in serving guests and provides courteous, prompt tableside service. The role helps ensure guest satisfaction and maintains a clean workstation. Duties include resetting tables, supporting service stations, serving water and non-alcoholic beverages, and following established service, health, and safety procedures. Successful completion of the Restaurant Training Program and testing is required. The position is hourly and full-time at Gold Strike Casino Resort.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in a restaurant as a Bus Runner or Food Runner.
One year of experience in fast-paced, high-volume restaurant operations.
Effective listening abilities and strong judgment skills.
Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, in written and verbal forms.
Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with business contacts.
Ability to stand, walk, run, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays, may be required.

Responsibilities

Know products and specifications.
Clear and reset tables promptly, pick up debris, and clean spills or grease from floors.
Follow the standardized sequence of service and procedures established by management.
Pour water and serve non-alcoholic drinks as needed throughout service.
Check dining areas, tables, and chairs for cleanliness and completeness of settings.
Maintain clean, organized service stations and service areas.
Check service stations for silverware, glassware, napkins, share plates, placemats, and condiments.
Follow health and safety regulations.
Successfully complete the Restaurant Training Program and testing.
Perform other job-related duties as requested.
