About The Position

Excel Academy is seeking a Bus Monitor to ensure the safe and orderly transportation of students to and from school. This role involves monitoring student behavior on the bus, enforcing safety rules, assisting students with boarding and exiting, and providing support to students with special needs or behavioral challenges. The Bus Monitor will communicate with school staff about student safety and support, and provide feedback and redirection to students to ensure they meet safety expectations.

Requirements

• Sense of responsibility for the safety of students.
• Ability to communicate well with others.
• Ability to enforce rules calmly.
• Successful results of Criminal Offender Record Information check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with children is highly preferred.
• Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Members of the community (i.e. Parents) strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
