About The Position
The Guild of St. Agnes is seeking a Bus Monitor for its Worcester locations. The monitor works in partnership with the bus driver to provide safe, positive, and reliable transportation for children ages 2 to 12. The role includes ensuring children are delivered safely to The Guild and returned to their appropriate caretakers, while maintaining the agency’s standards for excellent care and courtesy. The position requires a successfully completed EEC background check.
Requirements
- Be able to sit, bend, and lift children weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Maintain a current first aid and CPR certificate.
- Pass and maintain a background record check in accordance with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
- Successfully complete an EEC background check.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure children are safely transported to The Guild and returned to their appropriate caretakers.
- Partner with the bus driver to maintain positive, safe, and reliable transportation for children ages 2 to 12.
- Maintain and document bus attendance sheets, including counts of children entering and exiting the bus.
- Apply car-seat regulations and ensure children use seatbelts appropriate to their age and weight.
- Maintain guardian authorization and consent forms.
- Verify the identity of individuals receiving children.
