About The Position

The Guild of St. Agnes is seeking a Bus Monitor for its Worcester locations. The position is responsible for the safe transportation of children to The Guild and their safe return to the appropriate caretaker, while maintaining the agency’s standards of professional care and courtesy. The Bus Monitor partners with the bus driver to provide positive, safe, and reliable transportation for children ages 2 to 12. The role also involves tracking and documenting attendance and counts of children entering and exiting the bus, applying car seat and seatbelt requirements based on each child’s age and weight, maintaining guardian authorization and consent forms, and verifying identities. A successfully completed EEC background check is required.

Requirements

• Current first aid and CPR certificate.
• Successfully complete and maintain a background record check in accordance with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
• Ability to sit, bend, and lift children weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the bus driver to provide positive, safe, and reliable transportation for children ages 2 to 12.
• Help ensure children are safely delivered to The Guild and returned to their appropriate caretaker.
• Maintain and document bus attendance sheets and counts of children entering and exiting the bus.
• Apply car seat regulations and seatbelt requirements based on children’s age and weight.
• Maintain guardian authorization and consent forms.
• Verify the identities of children and authorized caretakers.
