About The Position

The San Juan Unified School District is hiring a Bus Driver in Transportation for 6 hours per day (0.75 FTE). The district serves more than 45,000 preschool, TK–12, and adult learners in communities in eastern Sacramento County. The position requires school bus driving experience across a wide variety of driving, weather, and road conditions, along with a dependable work history, a good driving record, and eligibility for district insurance coverage. A district-sponsored physical examination, including a back evaluation, may be required before employment. Selected candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience driving a school bus in a wide variety of driving, weather, and road conditions.
Work history demonstrating dependability and reliability.
Good driving record.
Must qualify for district insurance coverage.
May be required to pass a district-sponsored physical examination, including a back evaluation, conducted by a district-authorized physician before employment.
Selected candidates are subject to drug and alcohol testing.
Provide a valid California Class A or B driver's license with the application.
Provide a valid medical certificate and medical card with the application.
Provide a current H-6 DMV printout covering the last 10 years with the application.
Provide a copy of the School Bus Driver Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol with the application.
