About The Position

The San Juan Unified School District is hiring a Bilingual Instructional Assistant fluent in Pashto and English to work at Arden. The district serves more than 45,000 preschool, TK-12, and adult learners in eastern Sacramento County. Applicants with approved applications will be contacted to schedule bilingual language testing. Applicants must document relevant experience, including previous experience working with groups of children or students. To pre-qualify, applicants must attach a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the specified qualifying documents: a passing score on the district's proficiency exam dated April 2005 or later, an official passing CBEST score, official transcripts showing at least two years of college (48 semester or 60 quarter units), or proof of an associate degree or higher. Foreign coursework or credentials must be evaluated for equivalency to those from an accredited U.S. college or university. Requirements

Fluency in English and Pashto.
Previous experience working with groups of children or students, with proof of experience required.
