Under the supervision of the Assistant Bursar, the Manager of Collections is responsible for designing and redesigning processes to collect debts from students and non-student customers, including the most difficult-to-collect debt. This role involves observing and reviewing staff interactions with clients to ensure collections align with university policies and regulations, and directly supervising collections staff. Key duties include reconciling customer receivable accounts to the general ledger and outstanding invoices, managing the placement of holds and late fees on student accounts, maintaining a commitment to teamwork, and providing exemplary customer service. The specialist will also assist and support campus-based loan staff and provide accurate, detailed information and guidance to students.
