About The Position

Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, the Bundle Handler physically moves work between workstations and within the production area. The role maintains an adequate supply of work and helps balance workflow so operators have materials available and operations do not experience downtime due to a lack of work. Although this is not an assistant supervisor position, the Bundle Handler may be called upon to fill in briefly when the Production Supervisor is unavailable during the workday, such as during breaks or meetings.

Requirements

• At least six months of related experience or training.
• Basic mathematics, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form and to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the day; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Basic English communication skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Move work in process from workstation to workstation.
• Supply work components and materials to each workstation.
• Procure necessary supplies and components from stock and distribute them.
• Ensure each operator has an adequate amount of work and that operations do not experience downtime due to a lack of work.
• Fill in briefly when the Production Supervisor is unavailable during the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
