About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver Hydrite bulk and/or packaged products to customers. The driver is expected to uphold Hydrite’s Standards of Excellence through a continuous commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Prior experience hauling bulk tankers.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Mandatory pre-employment drug screening.
• Proficiency in hazardous materials and a current CDL license.

Nice To Haves

• Hazmat endorsement highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the unit daily and report needed repairs to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Make assigned bulk or van deliveries in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures.
• Keep the entire unit, including trailers, clean and in good working order.
• Deliver and pick up products and containers as assigned by the Logistics Coordinator.
• Review shipping papers and verify that loads and container labels are correct, including proper use of bills of lading and Certificates of Analyses.
• Follow the assigned delivery sequence and immediately report deviations.
• Contact the Logistics Coordinator when delayed during deliveries.
• Follow special instructions on bills of lading or provided by the Logistics Coordinator.
• Comply with company work and safety rules, motor carrier safety regulations, state weight laws, and environmental regulations.
